The Configurator
DIY advanced magic
With the configurator, you can customize the look of your profilers to match your style!
Each choice is previewed on the configurator, so you’ll know exactly what to expect after you hit the “SAVE” button
Your profilers will not change until you click “SAVE” on the configurator.
The change will be applied once the profiler “phones home” the next time, which can take up to 30 minutes!
Please find the description how to create and use custom backgrounds below.
- FontUse this button to change the font to one of the available fonts.
- ColorUse this button to change the font color to one of the available settings.
- BackgroundUse this button to change the profiler background to one of the default backgrounds.
This button works in combination with your custom backgrounds! If you use custom backgrounds only those without a custom replacement will show the default! - Test buttonsTo test the look of the profiler under different settings, the configurator menu has options to change: Gender, Price, Market and Category.
- Config keyTo allow you to style your profilers depending on their location, you can use a custom “config key” from the options menu.
An empty config key means that you want the profiler to use the “default” setting for your profilers
Custom styles are applied by matching the owner, group, and config key values.
That means you can have as many different styles for your profilers as you like.
The maximum used length of a config key is 8 characters, if you enter a longer key it’ll be silently truncated at 8 characters. - SAVESends your custom configuration to the server, so that it’ll be applied at the next profiler check.
The change will be applied once the profiler “phones home” the next time, which can take up to 30 minutes! - RELOADRestores your last config settings from the server, overwriting local changes.
This button works in combination with your custom backgrounds! If you use custom backgrounds only those without a custom replacement will show the default!
Custom backgrounds
A sample configurator with the default background textures is part of the shipping box.
You can download a set of templates for custom backgrounds for Photoshop and Gimp by clicking here.
To keep the land and script impact low, the profiler uses different background textures to indicate current settings.
Thats why a full set of background textures consists of 10 different textures, 5 for a small profiler, and 5 for a large profiler.
You create a custom style by putting your custom textures into the style controllers root prim inventory.
The textures used must be full perms to you.
Based on the textures name, the system deducts the intended use. You’ll find a list of uses below.
The first texture in the controller prims inventory that doesn’t follow the naming convention will be used as default cat image for the profilers.
The name of the texture has to start with the letter T, followed by 1 for large and 2 for small profilers, then by an underscore, then the id of the function, e.g. T2_XX where XX is the function according to the following list.
