List Male / List Female With the List Male and List Female buttons you set a new cat’s data to the profiler. To do so, you paste the pedigree link that the cat’s inworld “Info” button on the owner’s menu tells you. If you don’t own the cat, the cat will show the link on touching/clicking the cat. Choosing one of the buttons List Male or List Female only matters on boxed cats, once born the profiler is capable of correctly detecting the gender of the cat.If the profiler is set to show the price (see: Enable Price) then it’ll automatically ask for the price to set on the profiler after retrieveing the cat’s pedigree.
Add Image If you would like to add an image to your cat on the web market or the large inworld profiler, use this button. Once you click it, the profiler will turn into a so-called “dropbox” If you left-click on a texture in your inventory and then drag the texture onto your profiler and drop it there by releasing your mouse key while pressing the CTRL key the image will be placed into the profiler. Afterwards, the image will be shown on the large profiler and within the web market. Important: The image has to be a full perm texture !
Clear Image If you added an image to the profiler (see: Add Image) you can remove the image from the profiler and the web market using this button.
Change Price This button is only visible if the profiler is set to show the price (see: Enable Price). If you click it, the profiler will ask for the price to set and, if the market is enabled (see: Enable Market), update the web market accordingly too.If you want to leave the price enabled, but not show a price for a specific cat, enter a value of 0 or empty into the price dialog. When you click the ignore button in the price dialog, the previously set price will not be changed.
Options Using this button, you enter the Options menu, see: Options
Pedigree / Close Using this button, you can show the cat’s pedigree. Clicking it will rez a pedigree tree above the profiler, showing the cats parents and grandparents and their traits. If the pedigree is already open, the button will show the label Close instead, which will hide (unrez) the pedigree again. Depending on the Keep open setting in the options menu the pedigree will either automatically unrez after 2 minutes, or leave it rezzed forever or at least as long as the profiler is present. If the profiler is deleted, the pedigree will automatically unrez within two minutes.
Options menu
Price By toggling this function you choose if the profiler should show and ask for a price for the cat you add to it. If the checkbox is checked, the profiler will ask you for a price for the cat you add to it, and show the button to change that price (see: Change Price). If the checkbox is unchecked, the profiler won’t ask for the price, and won’t show the price. If you enable the price while a cat is set to the profiler, the profiler will ask for the price of the cat.
Market By changing this checkbox you decide if a cat that is shown on this profiler is also shown on the market or not.
Keep open This checkbox decides if a rezzed pedigree is automatically unrezzed after two minutes or will stay rezzed until its manually closed or the profiler is deleted (see: Pedigree).
Category Each profiler belongs to one of the categories ‘Standard’, ‘Auction’, ‘Raffle’, ‘Bid board’, ‘Loveshack’ or ‘Event’. These categories are used by the web market to group profilers in lists. On the web market page for a group or breeder, profilers are grouped and sorted by area, then by category, and finally by place.Version differences
Owner version The category ‘Auction’ is not available on an owner version of the profiler.

Get config With the ‘Get config’ and ‘Set config’ functions you can copy the settings between profilers. If you click ‘Get config’, the profiler will reply with an IM telling you a configuration string containing the option settings.
Set config With the ‘Get config’ and ‘Set config’ functions you can copy the settings between profilers. If you click ‘Set config’, the profiler will show a text entry box where you can paste the settings given by the ‘Get config’ button.
With the configurator, you can customize the look of your profilers to match your style! Each choice is previewed on the configurator, so you’ll know exactly what to expect after you hit the “SAVE” button Your profilers will not change until you click “SAVE” on the configurator. The change will be applied once the profiler “phones home” the next time, which can take up to 30 minutes!
Please find the description how to create and use custom backgrounds below.
FontUse this button to change the font to one of the available fonts.
ColorUse this button to change the font color to one of the available settings.
BackgroundUse this button to change the profiler background to one of the default backgrounds. This button works in combination with your custom backgrounds! If you use custom backgrounds only those without a custom replacement will show the default!
Test buttonsTo test the look of the profiler under different settings, the configurator menu has options to change: Gender, Price, Market and Category.
Config keyTo allow you to style your profilers depending on their location, you can use a custom “config key” from the options menu. An empty config key means that you want the profiler to use the “default” setting for your profilers Custom styles are applied by matching the owner, group, and config key values. That means you can have as many different styles for your profilers as you like. The maximum used length of a config key is 8 characters, if you enter a longer key it’ll be silently truncated at 8 characters.
SAVESends your custom configuration to the server, so that it’ll be applied at the next profiler check. The change will be applied once the profiler “phones home” the next time, which can take up to 30 minutes!
RELOADRestores your last config settings from the server, overwriting local changes. This button works in combination with your custom backgrounds! If you use custom backgrounds only those without a custom replacement will show the default!
To keep the land and script impact low, the profiler uses different background textures to indicate current settings. Thats why a full set of background textures consists of 10 different textures, 5 for a small profiler, and 5 for a large profiler.
You create a custom style by putting your custom textures into the style controllers root prim inventory. The textures used must be full perms to you. Based on the textures name, the system deducts the intended use. You’ll find a list of uses below. The first texture in the controller prims inventory that doesn’t follow the naming convention will be used as default cat image for the profilers. The name of the texture has to start with the letter T, followed by 1 for large and 2 for small profilers, then by an underscore, then the id of the function, e.g. T2_XX where XX is the function according to the following list.
Thank you for buying Torgon’s KC Profiler, here’s how you start using it.
Rez your profiler on the ground
Click the cat you want to show on the profiler. If the cat does not belong to you, the cat will display a lot of information in chat. If the cat belongs to you, you’ll have to click the “Info” button from the cat’s menu to get the same information.
From the cat’s information copy the pedigree link which looks like this: https://kittycats.ws/p.php?8490fa0e-d282192-84186 If you do not see that link, please check the “Troubleshooting” section on how to enable it.
Now click the profiler to show it’s menu
On the profiler’s menu click ‘List Male’ or ‘List Female’, depending on the gender of your cat. This choice only matters if the cat is boxed, if the cat is already born the profiler can detect the cats gender automatically and you are free to choose your button.
A text input box shows
Paste the pedigree link from above into the text input box
Press “submit” to send the link to the profiler
After a couple of seconds, the cat’s traits show on the profiler.
If you enable(d) the price feature in the options menu, the profiler will ask for the price of the cat To do that, it shows a text input box. If you enter 0 and click submit, or click ignore, no price will be set.
If you enable(d) the market feature in the options menu, the cat will show up on the web market.
Thanks to Julia for creating a nice helper video on how to enable the pedigree link: Youtube video
If you have never used a profiler before, there is a good chance that you will have to change a setting on the kittycats website in their User Control Panel (UserCP). To do that, please log into the kittycats website, then select UserCP there.
Enable the pedigree links for all your cats as shown in the following screenshot.
For cats you got before ou enabled the pedigree links, you might have to enable the link for each cat. First, go to the pedigree part of the kittycats website:
There, go to your cat(s) and enable the inworld pedigree link:
If you enable tracking you might experience that the cats data is cleared from the profiler after about a minute, even though the cat is right above or below the profiler. That happens due to a slightly unlucky behaviour of LSL sensors, which are not able to scan a fully spherical area but have a blind spot right above and below the scanning object. Please move either the cat or the profiler a bit so they are not vertically in line.
